OECS Invites Public to Join Fun Walk in Antigua and Barbuda

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is inviting residents, partners, and supporters to participate in the upcoming OECS Fun Walk, an event designed to promote wellness and regional unity.

The walk will happen on Thursday, June 18, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Participants will assemble at the Ministry of Health Headquarters, where the walk will start and end.

Members of the public are encouraged to register in advance and join fellow participants for an evening of fitness and fun. Registration is available online at: https://forms.gle/NzACZrDQMDv1CFWi8

T-shirts will be distributed at the opening of the fun walk, subject to size availability.

The event is part of the 45th OECS Anniversary activities, which are running under the theme "One Vision, One Voice: Navigating Challenges, Shaping Our Future." The event aims to strengthen connections across the region.

Since 2023, this annual fun walk has taken place in Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The 2026 edition is being hosted in collaboration with the Antigua and Barbuda Medical Benefits Scheme and the Geothermal Energy: Capacity Building for Utilization Investment and Local Development (GEOBUILD) Project.

The OECS welcomes individuals, families, community groups, and organisations to take part in this exciting activity.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is an International Organisation dedicated to economic harmonisation and integration, protection of human and legal rights, and the encouragement of good governance among independent and non-independent countries in the Eastern Caribbean. The OECS came into being on June 18th 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other while promoting unity and solidarity among its Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honour of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed. The OECS today, currently has twelve members, spread across the Eastern Caribbean comprising Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Saint Martin.
