OECS Expands Social Media Presence with Launch of Threads Account

OECS Media Update

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission has expanded its digital footprint with the launch of an official Threads account, further strengthening its presence across social media platforms.

Threads, a rapidly growing platform that complements Instagram, provides a dynamic space for real-time updates, engagement, and conversations. By adding this channel to its communications suite, the OECS continues its commitment to keeping stakeholders, citizens, and partners across the region and the diaspora informed and connected.

The new platform will feature content in both English and French, ensuring accessibility to audiences across the Eastern Caribbean and beyond.

The Threads account is fully integrated into the OECS Commission’s digital management system, allowing for efficient and seamless content sharing alongside existing platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).

The OECS invites all stakeholders and partners to follow and engage with its official Threads account as it continues to share regional updates, opportunities, and stories that showcase the integration journey of its Member States.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is an International Organisation dedicated to economic harmonisation and integration, protection of human and legal rights, and the encouragement of good governance among independent and non-independent countries in the Eastern Caribbean. The OECS came into being on June 18th 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other while promoting unity and solidarity among its Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honour of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed. The OECS today, currently has twelve members, spread across the Eastern Caribbean comprising Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Saint Martin.
