BACKGROUND: The OECS Commission, in collaboration with Grenada's Ministry of Agriculture, Lands & Forestry, is hosting the OECS Youth and Women in Agriculture Symposium. The event will equip participants with practical training in agribusiness development, climate-smart agriculture, digital innovation, leadership, and access to finance and markets.
Key focus areas include:
- Climate-Resilient Farming: Gaining practical knowledge in modern, sustainable techniques.
- Agribusiness & Digital Skills: Developing entrepreneurship and digital marketing competencies.
- Finance & Market Access: Connecting participants with financing opportunities, grant programs, and regional market strategies.
- Regional Networking & Policy: Building connections with agricultural leaders and contributing to discussions on boosting youth and women's participation in Caribbean agriculture.
