Dominica Wins MISS OECS 2025 Pageant

February 3, 2025 – After an unforgettable night of amazing performances, Kyanna Dyer from Dominica has been crowned MISS OECS 2025, emerging as the embodiment of “Elysian Elegance and Empowerment.”

The prestigious event, held on Friday, January 31, celebrated the beauty, intelligence, and cultural heritage of contestants from Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Montserrat, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The pageant showcased outstanding performances, with participants excelling in the creative national wear, talent presentations, and evening wear segments. Kyanna stood out for her creative national wear, swimwear, and performance in evening wear, earning the title and the opportunity to serve as a regional ambassador for the empowerment and cultural pride of the OECS region.

Joining Kyanna Dyer on the podium were:

  • First Runner-Up: Timiqua B. Deterville - Miss Saint Lucia, taking the titles of best performing talent and best in swimwear.
  • Second Runner-Up: Lisha Beache - Miss Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, who won best interview response.

Miss Montserrat, Mauricia Barzey,was awarded the Miss Visionary Award for the best promotional video, and Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Shania Samuel, was awarded as Miss Amity for her warm connections with the rest of the contestants. ​

The OECS Commission congratulates all contestants for their remarkable contributions to this year’s theme and applauds their efforts in inspiring unity and motivation across the Member States.

Dr. Didacus Jules, Director General of the OECS Commission, stated:

“The MISS OECS Pageant continues to be a vibrant celebration of the talent, creativity, and cultural richness that define our region. We are proud to support an initiative that not only showcases the brilliance of our young women but also encourages unity and collaboration among our Member States. Congratulations to Kyanna Dyer and all the contestants for embodying the spirit of regional integration and empowerment.”

The OECS Commission extends congratulations once again to Kyanna Dyer, the newly crowned MISS OECS 2025. She will spend the next year advocating for regional integration and cultural development. She hopes to inspire youth across the OECS.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is an International Organisation dedicated to economic harmonisation and integration, protection of human and legal rights, and the encouragement of good governance among independent and non-independent countries in the Eastern Caribbean. The OECS came into being on June 18th 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other while promoting unity and solidarity among its Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honour of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed. The OECS today, currently has eleven members, spread across the Eastern Caribbean comprising Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Martinique and Guadeloupe.
