Sports Development in the OECS

The OECS Sports Desk was established in 1985 to develop a harmonized sports policy framework in recognition of the significant contribution sport can play in facilitating health outcomes, cohesive societies and driving investment in new sectors such as sports tourism.  Governments of the OECS region have confirmed their increased commitment to the sports sector, through investments in sports facilities and the growth in the number of National Sports Federations in Member States.
